Case 118: An 82-Year-Old Man with a Recent Stroke

Diagnosis
History

This 82-year-old man with a history of diabetes and hypertension was admitted to hospital with a severe stroke.
He has developed fever and evidence of aspiration pneumonia, and the following ECG was recorded: 

Diagnosis

  • Multifocal atrial tachycardia (rate 130/min)
  • Left anterior fascicular block
  • Left ventricular hypertrophy with repolarization abnormality
