Ectopic Atrial Rhythm

An automatic rhythm originating from a region of atrial tissue different from the sinus node. P waves have axis and morphology different from sinus rhythm. Rate <100/min. PR may be longer or shorter than in sinus rhythm depending on distance of ectopic focus from AV node
