A 43-year-old woman is presenting to the emergency department complaining of exacerbation of her asthma. She often complains of palpitation that she describes as a sensation of “thumps in her chest”:

Diagnosis
  • Sinus rhythm with premature atrial complexes (one with aberrant conduction)
  • Left atrial enlargement
  • Left anterior fascicular block
