History
A 58-year-old man with no cardiac complaints is seen for a reassessment in the diabetes clinic:
Diagnosis
- Lead placement error: Right Arm – Right Leg Reversal (this preclude the assessment of the limb leads)
- In the chest leads, ST elevation, compatible with early repolarization
ECG 2
As a lead misplacement was suspected, a new ECG is recorded, with particular attention to cable placement:
ECG 2 Diagnosis
- Sinus bradycardia, 53/min
- Minimal voltage for left ventricular hypertrophy, may be normal variant
- ST elevation, consider early repolarization
Please, see next slide for explanation of ECG changes of Right Arm – Right Leg Lead Reversal.
