AV Dissociation

The atria and the ventricles are activated independently. The ventricular rate is faster than the atrial rate. This may occur when the sinus or atrial impulses are slow and a junctional or ventricular pacemaker escapes; or a distal pacemaker accelerates (junctional or ventricular tachycardia)
