Diagnosis
History
A 43-year-old man with Becker muscular dystrophy is in assisted-living state and is ventilation-dependent and on G-tube feeding:
Diagnosis
- Sinus tachycardia, 122/min
- Tall R waves in V1-V3
- Non-specific ST abnormality
Comment: The tall R waves in the right precordial leads in muscular dystrophy are the result of loss of posteriorly directed forces caused by degenerative changes involving the posterobasal portion of the left ventricle.
