This 37-year-old man reports a several year history of occasional palpitations, with isolated runs of “thumps” in his chest:
Diagnosis
- Sinus rhythm, with frequent premature atrial complexes (PACs), isolated, in a couplet, and in a run of atrial tachycardia
- The first PAC of the couplet is aberrantly conducted (Ashman phenomenon)
