Routine ECG tracing of a 45 year old man scheduled to undergo knee surgery following an accidental trauma:
Diagnosis
- Left arm cable/electrode detached or nonfunctional (lead I has not been recorded)
- This precludes the interpretation of the limb lead
- The chest leads are normal

An ECG is obtained with a different recorder:

- Sinus rhythm, 90/min
- Rightward QRS axis
- A borderline tracing, probably normal
