Case 144: A 32 Year-Old Man with Severe Chest Pain
History
Diagnosis
History
This 33 year old man was walking briskly to work when he developed crushing anterior chest pain. An ambulance arrived promptly and he was brought to the Hospital within one hour after the onset of symptoms.
Diagnosis
- Sinus bradycardia, 54/min
- Acute anterolateral infarction
Comment: The presence of Q-waves in the anterior leads suggests that there has already been some degree of anterior wall infarction which may not recover, although in many cases LV function may recover if revascularization is performed early.
ECG ID: E803
